Major Asian presence for Ipex 2006

Some 4,000 square metres will be dedicated to companies from across Asia including China, India, Japan, The Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan, providing opportunities for visitors from across the globe looking to find out about new suppliers to market.

Trevor Crawford, exhibition director for Ipex 2006 says: “We were delighted by the enthusiasm shown towards Ipex 2006 at China Print. As a result of attending the show we have secured a further 1000sqm of space from Asian companies. The Asian market is particularly important for us and other international exhibitors who have already signed up to Ipex 2006. It’s a booming economy which still has huge potential for investment.”

The amount of space booked by repeat Chinese and Indian exhibitors who were at Ipex 2002 is up by 48 per cent and bookings are still coming in with 10 months to go until the start of the show. The organisers are also making a big effort to ensure that Asian visitors attend Ipex 2006 to discover what is happening on a global level in the print industry.

Crawford says, “The Asia market has shown an interest in finding out more about trends and new technologies particularly within wide-format and digital print and the impact the Internet is having on businesses. Ipex 2006 is ideally placed to provide the opportunity for these visitors to compare US and European products with those from their own market.”

Ipex 2006 South East Asian exhibitors include Beijing Founder Electronics Company, Masterwork Graphic Equipment, JMD Machinery, Shanghai Shen Wei Da Machinery Co, Shanghai SRPACK Machinery Company, Shanghai Yawa Printing Machinery Co Ltd, Shanghai Yoco Printing Machinery, Sichuan Juguang Printing Apparatus and Weifang Hugguang from China; Autoprint Machinery Manufacturers, Zenith Rubber and Micro Inks from India; Toshiba Tec Corporation from Japan; Goodstrong Machinery Co. from Taiwan; and Accuratech Machine Industries Inc from The Philippines.

Ipex 2006 is taking place on April 4-11 next year at the NEC in Birmingham and is set to be the number one global printing show of the year. Australian printers can pre-register now for free entrance to the show on www.ipex.org.
