McMillan Printing former co-owner Peter passes away

Peter passed away yesterday at home ahed 74 after an 18-month fight with the disease.

The funeral will be held at St Paul's Anglican Church in Burwood on Monday 17 September at 11am.

Bob McMillan told ProPrint that it was apt that the service would be held at St Paul's, where Peter was organist and choirmaster.

Peter, a distinguished pipe organist, was granted the Order of Australia in 2004 for service to the community, particularly his contributions to church music.

Peter and Bob both worked for the family business since the 1960s and they continued to run McMillan Printing together until selling off to Blue Star in 2007.

"He was my partner in the company right from the start, as it was passed on from my parents to my brother and myself," said Bob.

Peter is remembered by Bob and his wife, Gae, and their four children and five grandchildren.
