Mimaki Australia launches D800 Powder Shaker to TxF series of DTF printers

Mimaki Australia has announced local release of the D800 Powder Shaker to its TxF series of direct-to-film (DTF) printers.

The D800 Powder Shaker is engineered to integrate with Mimaki’s TxF150-75 and TxF300-75 DTF printers, both of which offer a maximum print width of 80cm.

This integration ensures a streamlined workflow, enabling users to produce high-quality DTF transfer sheets with ease.

Key features of the D800 Powder Shaker include:

  • Compact design: The D800’s smaller footprint compared to standard shakers reduces shipping costs and conserves workspace.
  • Auto powder return system: This feature minimises manual intervention by automatically recycling excess powder, thereby reducing labour costs and operational time.
  • Enhanced heating area: With an 80cm heating area – 10 cm longer than typical models – the D800 ensures superior heating, preventing issues such as oily films.
  • Versatility: Designed for compatibility with both two-head and four-head printers, the D800 offers multifunctional use across various printing setups.

The D800 Powder Shaker is equipped with a three-stage heating system, featuring independently controlled front, top, and rear heating zones.

This allows for tailored adjustments to suit different printing environments. Additionally, the dual correction shafts prevent film deviation during printing, reducing material waste.

Earlier this month, Mimaki Australia announced the local arrival of its new JFX200-1213EX 1.2m by 1.3m flatbed printer.

The company first confirmed it would be warehousing stock of its new flatbed printer locally in November.

Mimaki Australia also recently announced a restructure of its channel management roles, in an effort to grow its business further in the local market.

“We had always previously had national service manager, but with the recent growth of the company we felt that the role was too big for one person, so we decided to diversify into regional managers,” Mimaki Australia Queensland service manager, Craig Dainty, told Sprinter at the time.

Management roles under the new structure include Satoshi Abe, national service manager; Krishna Ginjupally, NSW service manager; Kuldeep Sharma, Victoria service manager; and Craig Dainty, Queensland service manager.
