New Better Business website to offer printers “exclusive deals”

The peak industry body has replaced its third party-managed buying group with a new business services website.

The Printing Industries Association of Australia said it had responded to members' feedback with its Better Business website, which it called a "one-stop centre for cost-cutting services and information".

National marketing director Joe Kowalewski said Better Business would make it easier for members to access "great cost-saving deals" and webinar content.

"From our member’s perspective, dual logins are gone and they can access exclusive deals and information with their existing membership logins," he said.

"From our perspective, we control the site and can be far more dynamic and up-to-date with services and related information."

The switch from the buying group to Better Business has seen unpopular services dropped and new ones added, said the general manager of member services, Peter Mansfield.

"Our program of ongoing review has resulted in the introduction of a significant new range of cost-saving services based on the expressed needs of our members, including marketing, search engine optimisation (SEO), business appraisal and sales, finance, corporate health insurance, credit management and EFTPOS services," he said.

"We have expanded our energy cost service to cover the whole energy efficiency area, including equipment energy usage monitoring focused on providing members with longer-term and sustainable cost benefits.

"Succession planning is a high priority for many companies, so we have formed a relationship with Ascent Partners to provide services and advice in the business transition area so that they can forward plan, know their options and be realistic about what can be achieved."

Services retained in Better Business include Media Super superannuation, Marsh Australia insurance, Employers Mutual workers compensation, VW vehicle discounts, Sustainable Green Print certification and software.
