The launch of Double A in Australia follows a series of successful launches in other international market including Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, Hong Kong and The Netherlands.
Double A says its paper is a high quality, 80gsm, bright white copy paper. It has a high opacity and according to Double A, is whiter and brighter that other copy paper currently on the market. It has a low moisture level, smooth surfaces and low dust content, which all lead to smoother operating performance including reduced jamming, sticking and curling.
According to Double A, its copy paper has even density, which ensures double sided printing and copying with no show-through. It is highly versatile and suitable for all ink jet and laser copiers, printers, plain paper fax machines and copiers.
Double A is also being promoted as an environmentally responsible copy paper. It is made from farmed trees and is manufactured in a ISO 14001environmental management certified and ISO 9001 quality management certified mill.
Paper production incorporates an Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) bleaching process, which does not harm the environment. The bleaching process requires minimal water consumption of six to seven cubic metres of water per ton of pulp, many times lower than the global industry standard of 60 cubic metres per ton of pulp.
Double A has secured distribution arrangements with a number of suppliers including Viking, Complete Office Supplies, Office National, Coles, IGA and Franklins. The company says it expects its distribution network to continue growing and that it plans to soon expand the range of product on offer to include a larger variety of copy paper and stationery products.
