Over more than 50 years, Zechini has devised and manufactured a range of successful bookbinding and converting machines. These products have been developed over the years with new tecnologies and new working procedures.
In hall 14, stand C04 at drupa, Zechini will launch a brand-new generation of casemaking machines: the Roby Generation introducing a new concept of coupling.
With three new machines in the Roby line: the Roby Junior, Roby One and Roby 2V, the Roby Generation was designed to meet the needs of small, medium and high production firms.
The Roby Generation can produce a wide variety of products such as one piece cover loose leaf, three or more pieces covers, game boards, labels or photos on covers, display easels, photo albums and many more.
The 300 pieces/hour Roby Junior which will be presented in overview at drupa, is designed to satisfy the needs of firms that deal with small production runs. Thanks to its flexibility, easy and fast format changes are possible with the Roby Junior.
The Roby One, simple in structure and design, incorporates the latest advancements in technology. Uilising true and tested gluing system, the Roby One is equipped with a specially designed air feeder carriage system. From a high pile feeder it picks up the material to be glued, transports it into the gluing area, and places it on the other substrate located on the register board, within a very tight tolerance and pressing it lightly to assure a perfect coupling.
Upon request, Zechini’s R&D department will custom design the Roby One to suit the special applications and needs of its customers.
The brand-new high-performance Roby 2V automatic case maker will also be previewed at drupa this year. This machine is endowed with a computerised system for machine function management and with assisted rapid format change.
The Roby 2V has been designed to work with a wide range of materials such as paper, plasticised paper, PVC, thermo-sensitive coagulated materials and others, coupling them with stiff cardboard, multilayer, stuffed cardboard, micro-ondulated cardboard, wood and so on.
Apart from its traditional range displayed in an area of 250 sq m, Zechini we will launch innovations such as the new casing-in Roby 2v, capable of producing up to 2000 hard covers per hour.
