Venkat Purushotham, NexPress president and CEO, says, “NexPress is singularly focused on helping print providers create a more efficient digital workflow and benefit from new business opportunities afforded by digital printing applications. These new software solutions will enable print businesses to easily produce web-to-print jobs – the next killer applications for digital printing – and to build an automated and streamlined workflow that ensures immediate success.”
NexTreme Exchange software automates the fulfilment of static, short-run print jobs, making it easy for clients to log on to print-provider Web sites where they can submit PDF files for printing, and specify print orders online. Examples include on-demand real-estate sell sheets, customised automotive brochures and personalised college catalogues, through print-driver supported applications.
NexTreme Media Producer software enables users to easily create templates and versioned print documents in a Web-based order-management tool. Based on Saepio templating technology, organisations can use the software to develop promotional campaigns through online versioning and simple personalization, with seamless distribution.
NexTreme OneFlow+ software, available in the fourth quarter of 2004, is a workflow system component that automates prepress workflow on the NexStation and facilitates seamless integration of print-on-demand, Web-to-print and variable data printing applications in a fully automated mode. Easy to learn, press operators can quickly become more productive by using the OneFlow+ features that speed routine functions through a simple drag-and-drop interface.
The new versions of NexTreme DL-100 and DL-1000 software, available in July, bring improved functionality to users of variable data printing. NexTreme DL-100, version 2.0, enables designers to quickly and easily compose low- to moderate-complexity VDP files on a Windows or Macintosh computer. NexTreme DL-1000, version 2.0, is a server solution that is ideal for high-volume VDP jobs.
