Messe Düsseldorf in partnership with the Visual Media Association (VMA) and PrintNZ hosted a networking event for Australia and New Zealand delegates at drupa this week.

“It’s so lovely to have you all here, and to get the Australians and New Zealanders all together,” said Ruth Cobb, CEO of PrintNZ, in her welcome address to attendees.

Delegates were also welcomed by Visual Media Association CEO Kellie Northwood.

“It’s wonderful to see so many of our industry from Australia and New Zealand here at drupa,” said Northwood.

Sabine Geldermann, director drupa, Portfolio Print Technologies, Messe Düsseldorf, said the event has recorded “amazing results” in its first week, with more than 100,000 visitors.

“It’s a great pleasure welcoming you from Australia and New Zealand here during drupa and I hope that seven interesting and exciting days are already behind you,” said Geldermann.

“We are very pleased with the overall developments so far including 1640 exhibitors representing 52 nations, which is an amazing result after eight years. We’ve had more than 50 delegations as well from all over the world including from southeast Asia, India, China, Japan, Brazil, Malaysia, Indonesia, and European delegates.

“The first seven days have been very successful. We have passed 100,000 visitors which is a very positive indicator, and we still have a few more days. Eleven days seems to be very long but one day passes by so quickly. I hope you have profited so far and have taken some inspiration from every single stand.”

The networking reception was followed by an ‘after-party’ event sponsored by Ricoh at the Holy Craft Beer Bar.
