Printcost celebrates 30 years

John Durkin, managing director of Printcost, says, “We showcased Printcost 9 – our latest version. We picked up new customers in both Australia and New Zealand as well as upgrade orders from existing customers up and down the country. There was also a lot of demand for ePrintcost – our web-to-print offering.”

Like other vendors, Printcost received positive feedback from visitors to the show. Durkin says, “PrintEx11 was the most upbeat show that we’ve been involved in for a number of years. Compared to the Ipex exhibition in Birmingham, UK, last year and Pacprint in Melbourne a year before that, this show was absolutely pumping.

“Our team was working non-stop demonstrating the software. Unfortunately, we underestimated the demand so some people had to initially be turned away although most returned later in the day to see the system.”

Printcost established itself on the scene some 30 years ago. Durkin says, “It was great that we could also celebrate the company’s longevity. Probably the most poignant comment was from one staff member, a tradeshow-weary stalwart, who said when it was all over, ‘You know what: I actually enjoyed that show.’”
