PrintEx and VIIE show organisers praise power of partnership

Mitch Mulligan, chairman of PrintEx11, said that pre-registration was tracking on target, but that he also predicted benefits thanks to the combination with VIIE.

“With one day to go, pre-registrations for PrintEx11 are looking very positive and bode well for a strong turn out from all sectors and job functions within the printing and graphic communications industry.

“There has been a very encouraging response to some of the key highlights of PrintEx, such as the daily PrintEx Forums, the Power of Print Showcase and Thursday evening’s National Print Awards dinner – all of which will help drive the attendance of decision-makers at the exhibition itself.”

Despite the tough climate, the organisers have attracted 180 exhibitors to appear at the show representing the great and the good of the supplier sphere, from the largest offerings, such as the combined presence of Heidelberg, Kodak and Konica Minolta to numerous smaller exhibitors.

Mulligan added: “Visitors will also benefit from the unique opportunity to interact face to face with over 180 leading industry suppliers and from the exciting new co-location with the Visual Impact Image Expo (VIIE).

Peter Harper, organiser of VIIE, said that “wide-format has brought it all together”.

“You have the printing industry slowing down and shrinking, so they are all looking for new ways to expand their businesses. The two industries are coming closer so it was just natural to have the two shows come closer together.”
