Reacon Group acquires insolvent business mmw3degrees

Reacon Group (which was formerly known as Bridgestone Group) has acquired mmw3degrees, a specialist direct mail and data-driven communications service provider that went into administration at the end of last year.

The acquisition took place on 24 February, upon the conclusion of the second creditors meeting held under the auspices of Helm Advisory at the mmw3degrees Sydney headquarters.

mmw3degrees was one of Australia’s oldest direct marketing companies. The business switched over hands to Jennifer Slarke on 10 November when its founder and former managing director Laurie Griffiths passed away earlier this year. Slarke is Griffiths’ ex-wife.

However, within weeks of a change in ownership, the company filed for administration.

Reacon Group said as it offers marketing execution services by partnering with global brands, the addition of mmw3degrees to its group will now benefit existing and future clients who will now enjoy an expanded product offering, centered around technology innovation, regional production and fulfilment capabilities, measured against international standards, namely ISO 27001, 9001, 14001 and PCI-DSS, to deliver omni-channel campaigns.

Reacon Group CEO Jahangir Khan said, “Today ushers in a new dawn for Reacon, boosting our stronghold within the omni-channel marketing domain in Australasia.

“Not only will mmw3degrees enhance our direct mail distribution and production capabilities, but also bolster our digital, data-driven communications and fulfilment services offering.

“Together our mission will be to create a great place for people to work, act responsibly to assist local economies, innovate to create new channels, products and partnerships to support our clients and suppliers across the markets we serve”.

Reacon added that it will look to build on the “strong workplace ethos” of mmw3degrees with a view to improve stability and control by emboldening key staff to work towards a better client experience.
