Rocket wins glass printing award

The Auckland-based company won for its ‘Deloitte’s Decorative Window Films’ entry, which saw the company cover four floors of glass windows at Deloitte’s building with an optically clear film (pictured). In total, 400 metres of printed material was produced.

The win comes after the company recently replaced all of its solvent printers with two HP Designjet machines. The Deloitte job was printed with a Designjet L65500, which was deployed at Rocket at the end of last year.

Rocket managing director Ross Hall said: “We were astounded, and thrilled, by the vibrancy of colours we achieved on the clear substrate. The colour saturation was fantastic and exceeded both our, and the client’s, expectations.”

The company also recently took delivery of a Designjet L25500, which is intended to complement the larger machine.

Hall said he was “very proud” of the company’s achievement.

“It is fantastic for the company as a whole to be recognised and awarded for this job as everyone had a stake in it. It was a real team effort and reinforced for us that all the cogs are connected,” he said.
