Screen brings new Truepress down under

Screen continues that at 720 x 720 dpi and with variable ink droplet size, the Truepress Jet 520CP has the highest resolution of any continuous-feed inkjet digital system.

Akira Hayakawa, managing director of Screen Australia says, “At 430, A4 page impressions per minute in full duplex mode, the new Truepress Jet 520CP has a level of productivity that suits many printers’ requirements.”

He continues, “With full data variability and zero make-ready times between jobs, coupled with a much lower investment cost, it offers a compelling reason for commercial printers to enter high volume digital web printing.”

The new Truepress can also include a range of inline or near-line finishing options including roll-to-sheet; roll-to-fold and even complete book lines with stitchers, perfect binders and three-knife trimmers available from third parties.

Screen outlines that the commercial print application is further reinforced by the introduction of new grades of gloss coated paper which have been specifically developed for use with the Truepress Jet520 press family.

Hayakawa continues, “If a customer’s digital business grows to a point where higher productivity is needed, the 520CP can be upgraded on-site to 860 A4 page impressions per minute and even 1,720 by running at 128 metres per minute.”

Screen is anticipating the first Jet 520CP installations in Australia before the end of the year.
