This new version harnesses the power of the new Apple Mac Pro machines building on the previously released Universal Application for the Intel Core Duo Processors.
Tests have shown a 20 per cent increase in performance using this parallel processing andthe internal speed rating* on the new Mac Pro 2.6GHz machines have surpassed 700. This means a greater throughput and increased productivity.
Further enhancements have been made to the SoftProof with more tools to view and manage jobs. Multiple jobs can be loaded into tabbed SoftProof with a thumbnail sidebar for ease of navigation.
Other improvements include better nesting which is faster with more control and support for multi-colour ICC profiles. This means machines with different inks from the traditional CMYK can be used allowing for greater gamuts or specialist packaging inks such as white.
