Giselle Gabbani, Snap Printing Southport’s owner, says, “It came down to a point where I was actually having to turn some customers away, simply because there was so much demand for short-run colour work.”
Having been a Fuji Xerox Australia customer for almost four years with the DocuColor 1250, Gabbani says it was a fairly natural progression to go with the DocuColor 3535, Xerox’s recently released 35 page per minute colour printer that enables colour and black & white printing, copying and scanning.
“I was sold on the spot with the DocuColor 3535,” says Gabbani. “It made coping with those ‘off the cuff’ jobs more manageable.”
According to Gabanni, making these jobs more manageable has enabled Snap Printing Southport to increase production by 20 per cent since installing the machine.
“Our turnaround times have improved tremendously with the DocuColor 3535,” continued Gabbani. “We were recently able to complete a job that required 5000 double-sided A4 flyers in just 24 hours, that’s just one example of the results we can achieve for our customers now.
“The technology behind the 3535 is also very good, with excellent rip and software capabilities which ensures that jobs are completed at very economical prices.”
At present, Snap Printing Southport is producing a range of applications on the DocuColor 3535, including manuals, brochures and newsletters. Gabbani also says that the machine would act as a launch-pad to delve into variable data printing.
“On the whole, the DocuColor 3535 has given us the ability to manage the burgeoning demand for short-run, high-quality colour – and our customers are thrilled that we have more time for them now,” says Gabanni.
