Spicers further forays into wide-format with Rojo Pacific acquisition

Spicers has expanded its offerings in the wide-format space with the acquisition of Melbourne-based large format materials and textile product supplier Rojo Pacific.

The sale is expected to be complete on October 30, with minimal changes to Rojo Pacific’s operations.

Even though Rojo Pacific will come under the Spicers brand, the business will operate individually. Rojo Pacific owner John Wright will become national product manager at Spicers.

Spicers CEO David Martin

Spicers CEO David Martin welcomed Wright and his team to Spicers’ Sign & Display business, saying that the amalgamation of the two companies will provide opportunities for growth.

“We’ve been holding discussions with John for some time now, as we respect his approach to the market, along with his product and supply knowledge. We’re very pleased he has agreed to become a key member of our diverse and talented team,” Martin said.

“For Rojo, this is a great opportunity to expand the reach for their products and for Spicers, John and his team will add technical knowledge and strength to our portfolio.

“Our drive is to deliver only a positive experience as we build our collective offering and bring our complete portfolio together, now as the industry’s most diverse range. We all look forward to delivering even greater value to our collective customers.”

Wright said the “tremendous synergies” between both businesses made the decision to join forces easier.

“Our joining allows the business to take the next steps much more effectively and for me to focus more on what I enjoy most being product development and on our customer needs”, Wright said.

“Our business continues to evolve, with the talented people in our business keeping us on track with our plans. We’ll continue to work hard for our customers and find new ways to add value and innovative ways for them to grow their business.”
