Video: Justin Kirkland presents Fujifilm’s latest offerings at FESPA Global Print Expo

Justin Kirkland showcased Fujifilm’s latest offerings at FESPA Global Print Expo in Berlin last week, showcasing a comprehensive range of equipment, including Fujifilm’s new AquaFuze ink technology with the Acuity Triton.

“Aquafuze is a brand-new ink technology being launched at FESPA formally this year,” Kirkland told Sprinter.

“It will be seen for my Australian counterparts at PacPrint in in Sydney later this month, but it’s a brand-new ink technology that is a UV water-based solution,” he said.

“[Aquafuze] is something that our development team have been working on for 10 plus years, and have put a huge amount of effort in.

“Fantastic news is that the product and the solution won an award [at FESPA], which really puts the focus on the fact that we’ve spent 10 years in development and bringing this to market. It’s a fantastic achievement to receive that award, in the last couple of days,” he said.

“The technology itself is a fantastic solution in terms of the range of medias that it can utilize and show and develop on. It’s a four-colour solution, but due to its low heat and its low media sensitivity, we’re able to open up a much wider range of stocks. It’s a very low pile height and very smooth for those people that want to feel that softness in a print. But with a four-color solution, the vibrancy and the colour that you see off of the machine is absolutely fantastic.
