The Visual Media Association (VMA) will host free events in Launceston and Hobart next month as part of the association’s member engagement program.

The first event will be held in Launceston on Thursday 20 June, followed by an event in Hobart on Friday, 21 June.

Sessions will be hosted by Kellie Northwood, CEO of the VMA, and Tasmanian board officer and Ball & Doggett head of marketing, Tony Bertrand.

“Bring your voice to the discussion and let’s rebuild our industry association presence in Tasmania to ensure your voice is brought to the table across our activities and initiatives,” said Kellie Northwood, CEO of the VMA.

“I welcome feedback prior to the event should you wish us to cover content, otherwise myself and the Tasmanian board director, Tony Bertrand, Ball & Doggett, will be in attendance to share with you the programs we are running for industry and hear from you about what you need in Tassie,” said Northwood.

“These events are not exclusive to members; this is about building a community network. It starts with us, and we encourage you to share the invitation links above with your industry colleagues, the more the stronger.”

The VMA says the key focus areas for members are a commitment to the following four pillars:

  • HR/IR advisory
  • Environmental social governance
  • Member engagement
  • Skills and training

For the remainder of the year, each state and territory will schedule events aimed to develop state-by-state opportunities, share individual insights, and learn about new programs launched by the association.

Registration is complimentary, and industry members are encouraged to share the invitation to ensure a diverse and representative attendance.
