Visual Media Association sets date for AGM

The Visual Media Association (VMA) has announced that its annual general meeting to be held on Wednesday 31 July 2024 at 11 AM AEST.

Members wishing to attend the AGM should register their interest by registering online before Monday 29h July 2024. Members who are unable to attend the meeting are entitled to nominate a proxy using a proxy voting form which can also be found online with the Member Notice.

Kellie Northwood, VMA CEO, said the AGM is an opportunity for members to understand the financial management of the prior year, but also the future investment and focus of the association.

“We welcome all to attend,” said Northwood.

The AGM will feature office bearers addresses from the Hon. Treasurer, Rodney Frost, The Lamson Group, and Northwood, as well as an open forum for member engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity for discussion and input, as well as voting rights on the financials.

According to the VMA, the 2023 financials reflect a strong performance to revenue growth. Consolidating the two associations from the 2022 merger is reflected in the 2023 financials, realising a 167 per cent revenue increase. Overall membership growth, including merged member de-duplication realised 8 per cent or 12 per cent direct new membership.

A quorum across the country is required to accept the financials with national representation across each state.
