Women in Print back for 9th year

Women in Print is back for its ninth year event promising a fun opportunity for women in the graphics arts industry to network over breakfast around the country. The women-only breakfast will be held in March 17-25 in cities across Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. The annual forum provides women in the print industry with the opportunity to expand their network and learn from some of Australia’s leading businesswomen. Speaking with Australian Printer, Inge Pullar coordinator for Women in Print says, “More than 60 per cent of women return to the event, so they know each other, but we have the opportunity to meet and greet before breakfast for the first timers.”

She says the guest speaker for this year’s event is a prominent industry figure, but wants to keep it under wraps for the element of surprise. Pullar also says that this event is important to ensure that women do not feel alone in the industry. “The print industry by nature is a very male dominated industry and women need to work with each other and support each other,” she says. “We are also changing the structure of the event from one major sponsor to several sponsors to be more inclusive. “However, we would like more sponsors, as since we started our sponsorship has gone down bit by bit.” To register visit: http://www.heidelbergwomeninprint.com.au.
