Xerox launches perfecting Nuvera mono models

The 200MX and 288MX engines can print documents such as cheques, rebate forms and other financial forms at resolutions up to 4,800x600dpi.

The new models, which bring the Nuvera headcount to 10 configurations, can print 200 A4 duplex images per minute and 288 A4 duplex images respectively.

Each machine features MICR technology that Xerox claims offers reliable encoding for scanning and reading by high-speed magnetic readers and sorters.

An optional extra is cheque production integrity, which automatically tracks the number of cheques in a run designed to help prevent duplication or theft of any printed cheque.

Riley McNulty, research manager of IDC’s production and large-format printing service, said: “Last year, Xerox led the worldwide high-end black-and-white market with more than 70 per cent of all production-class cut-sheet shipments, and it is well positioned to sustain a leadership position by continuing to enhance its Nuvera portfolio.”

Both the 200MX and 288MX perfecting engines can work with the recently launched in-line finishing options that include a DS 3500 stacker and the Duplo DBM 5001 in-line bookletmaker.

Fuji Xerox Australia has already reported “a number of solid enquiries” being made about the new machines, with the company saying the new products will be made available to the Australian market in January next year.
