Buhrs unwraps new wrapping systems

First of all, Buhrs will show and demonstrate the Buhrs 3000 Film and Paper Wrapping System, wrapping a magazine including several in- and onserts in a pre-printed paper package. In different demonstrations, the company will show in total five different feeders in combination with the Buhrs 3000, feeding a wide variety of different products from regular paper sheets to gimmicks. After packaging the company will show inkjet addressing with a Domino Bitjet inkjet printer.

The second wrapping system the company will be having on display is the Buhrs 4700 Film Wrapping System, which is specially designed for wrapping sets of (non-) addressed retail brochures and promotional mail. Next to the new RF5 rotary feeder, throughout the exhibition day this system will be equipped with two other types of feeders. On the Buhrs 4700 will be shown an application gathering several retail brochures “BuhrsWrapped” in pre-printed film.

For the very first time at a trade show, Buhrs will also show an ‘on the fly change-over’. Demonstrators will change the number and size of the enclosures being wrapped without stopping the system. The feeders will be stopped and engaged fully automatically and even the size of the packaging will be adjusted on the fly, so without stopping the machine. The end-products, which will automatically be wrapped according to the actual size of the enclosures products, will be stacked in the new servo-driven RS10s stacker. Before the strapper ties the stacks together, the stacks are labelled with the label printer and applicator.
