Moorabbin, Victoria-based CMYK Colour Online has renewed its contract with Ricoh, reappointing it as its print partner for an additional five-year term.
The renewal, the first undertaken by CMYK Colour Online with a printer vendor, follows a successful five-year partnership during which Ricoh supported the firm’s rapid growth.
Under the new contract, CMYK Colour Online will deploy two Ricoh Pro C9500 machines with added productivity kits and a Ricoh Pro C7500 with a fifth colour press for gold, silver, clear, and white printing.
In addition to boosting overall production capacity, the Ricoh Pro C9500 machines will enable CMYK Colour Online to print at speeds of up to 135 pages per minute and support a wide variety of media types including metallics, super gloss finishes, textured stocks, and cardstocks.
Among the new features is the ability to print a white base layer followed by full-colour overlays, enabling more vibrant and opaque results on dark or transparent media – particularly useful when printing onto plastic substrates and producing outputs such as stickers and labels.
Established in 2007, CMYK Colour Online is an Australian-owned printing company that delivers a diverse range of print outputs to business and consumer customers.
It accepts online orders and delivers nationwide, ensuring convenient access to its services across Australia. Product offerings include everything from cards, flyers and postcards to stationery, booklets, and magazines.

CMYK Colour Online director David Kegen said, “the decision to renew the partnership for an additional five years was driven by the quality of Ricoh’s printers and its exceptional after-sales support.
“We have developed a very good working relationship with Ricoh during the past five years. During that time, their printers have performed extremely well, allowing us to maintain the quality of outputs that our client base expects. We have also been very impressed with their level of service which ensures our printers are always fully functional.”
When the company began its relationship with Ricoh, it deployed three Ricoh Pro C9210 digital colour printers and one Ricoh Pro 8220S high-volume multifunction black-and-white printer. This fleet enabled the company to increase its output levels and grow its revenue base.
The new machines under the renewed contract will be deployed from mid-December, and one of the existing Ricoh Pro C9210 printers will be retained.
“This will improve our redundancy and ensure we have the capacity to handle peak demand periods without compromise,” Kegen said, adding that the business anticipates efficiency gains of 10 to 20 per cent with the new Ricoh machines, thanks to their ability to seamlessly handle jobs requiring different paper stocks without pausing.
Earlier models had to cool down or warm up their toner reserves before they could tackle a new job.
“During the past five years, the Ricoh machines have allowed us to grow our portfolio of offerings and maintain the very high-quality outputs that our customers have come to expect,” Kegen said.
“We find that nothing is ever too hard for Ricoh. For example, at one point we were reorganising our workshop and needed to move the position of the machines. While this would have cost a significant amount with some of our previous vendors, Ricoh completed the work free of charge.
“We look forward to working closely with Ricoh during the next five years as they continue to support our growing business.”
