IVE and Avon Graphics come together for PVCA’s VoPP Mag

The Print & Visual Communication Association (PVCA) released its latest issue of VoPP Mag, The Renewable Issue, in December 2022 with IVE printing the magazine and Avon Graphics providing the cover embossing.

PVCA members received the publication for the first time. VoPP Mag has been in publication since 2017 and was a campaign run by The Real Media Collective, exploring the effectiveness of print in a multi-channel marketing world.

Each issue has a key focus, with the current issue focussing on the sustainability of print – exploring carbon to recycling, solar manufacturing for printers, to green packaging and more.

“As the merge between the two entities continues, the benefit to our members is they now have access to campaigns and activities originally delivered by TRMC, one of which is VoPP,” PVCA CEO Kellie Northwood said.

“VoPP is a campaign that promotes the effectiveness of print and looking to how we can sell the value of print rather than print being sold as a commodity. We are very proud of the publication and I am thrilled to be able to extend the distribution further to more members across the industry.

“For this issue we will be distributing 2,359 copies direct to members and 6,700 to print buyers.”

The issue includes thought leadership by Dr Phillip Lawrence, who is a senior lecturer and leading sustainability and energy academic at Sydney University, as well as Simon Dorries, CEO of Responsible Wood (PEFC), the leading forestry certification scheme across A/NZ.

It also features an article about the great debate of recycled or carbon neutral paper and a feature piece exploring the carbon footprint of all media channels.

“From consumer preferences to innovative operations, this issue explores the environmental credibility of print marketing, as well as the role printers play in their embracement of sustainable manufacturing,” VoPP Mag editor George Tzintzis said.

“Additionally, the magazine includes consumer research across Australia and New Zealand which shows a clear love of paper and print.

“I want to thank all our sponsors who are supporting the magazine, we simply could not do it without you. It is a humbling privilege to receive your support for the industry and work with you.”

  1. Congratulations.
Fantastic, at last we are blowing our
    own trumpet. About time.
During the Covid lockdown, there was
    still “a newspaper” everyday.
    Print prevailed.
