Kodak reports strong Prosper sales in Asia-Pacific

Prosper press product manager Anir Dutta said the reception for the €3m (A$4.5m) Prosper 5000XL had been “phenomenal and humbling”.

“With Ipex we’ve seen a significant improvement in performance in the Asia Pacific market, in addition to North America and Europe, and that’s really a testament to the truly global audience that this show is able to attract,” said Dutta.

“In terms of sales, Asia Pacific is now a significant contributor.”

Dutta added that, following Ipex, Kodak was now on target to exceed the demand for its Prosper platform in 2010 and into 2011.

Last week, the vendor revealed to ProPrint that Australia is “absolutely positively” on the list of early adopters of its new Prosper press.
