Major publishers to convene in Sydney for Magazine Week

The conference takes place on 10-11 November at the Sydney Convention and Entertainment Centre and sponsors include Geon, Gordon and Gotch, Webstar, Hannanprint and Offset Alpine Printing.

It will feature discussions from a number of magazine industry figures, including Marie Claire’s editor-in-chief Jackie Frank.

The event is presented by associations Publishers Australia and Magazine Publishers of Australia, with the annual Excellence Awards to close the event on the final night.

Jeremy Vaughan, vice chairman of Publishers Australia and managing director of ProPrint’s publisher, Haymarket Media, said Magazine Week will be the “perfect place” for printers to connect with the magazine community.

“It will delve deep into the challenges ahead for print publishers, plus give insightful intelligence that’s essential for working within the industry,” he said.

“There are also relevant streams on optimising print and production and a mailing forum with panel discussions on understanding the advances and opportunities to the publisher in these keys areas
