Agfa says it has continually invested and enhanced the :Dotrix Modular to meet the expanding needs of the packaging industry and specialty markets, since its introduction to the marketplace.
The company’s industrial inkjet press is built on grayscale ink jet technology. The Express Print Mode influences the ink drop volume of these grayscale ink jet heads without affecting the print resolution at an apparent resolution of 1000 dpi, according to Agfa.
This results in an effective production capacity of 1209sqm printed area per hour thereby increasing efficiency and lowering production costs, Agfa says. The higher productivity mode will influence the cost of print in favour of digital print compared to traditional flexo or offset printing, the company adds.
The Express mode, which is now available, is offered as an option to new presses and as upgrade kit to installed presses.
