New printer opens in Sydney

Digital printer Touch Printing opened its doors in Sydney this week as a full-service operation which the owners say is ready to serve the local industry.

Equipped with a Konica Minolta Bizhub C1060 press, a Roland VersaCamm VS-420 and a suite of perfect binding, folding and cello glazing equipment, Touch Printing has armed itself with an end-to-end service.

ProPrint spoke with co-owner Kamrul Hai, who says Touch Printing has already generated local interest around Parramatta for a number of small, short-run jobs.

“We have been open less than a week and we have already had upwards of 10 walk-in customers,” says Hai.

“We do all of the small jobs inhouse and outsource any big jobs to our trade printing partners in Sydney and Melbourne.”

Touch Printing also employs an in-house graphic designer, Satadal Karmakar and offers direct mail marketing including letter-box drops, email and online services.

Based in the heart of the Parramatta CBD, the digital printer’s opening is a breath of fresh air in a slowly condensing industry.
