Nominations closing soon for 2025 ProPrint Awards

Time is running out to submit your nominations for the 2025 ProPrint Awards, with less than two weeks left to take part in the print and packaging industry’s most prestigious annual event.

Celebrating excellence across all levels of the sector, the ProPrint Awards shine a spotlight on seasoned leaders, rising stars, innovative suppliers, and industry pioneers.

This year’s gala evening will be held on Friday, 17 October 2025, at the Shangri-La Sydney.

Award categories include the Printer 50, Supplier 50, Emerging 50, Industry Achievement, Outstanding Achievement in Sustainability, and the Geoff Selig Scholarship – now in its second year.

Don’t miss your chance to recognise outstanding contributions across the industry.

Printer 50

Formerly known as the Power 50, you can nominate more than one person in this category, and it is also possible to have more than one Printer 50 nominee from the same company. Self-nominations are also accepted.

Keith Ferrel, winner of the 2024 Printer 50

The Printer 50 category only accepts nominations for individuals who are printers or work for a printing organisation. If you represent or work for an association, service provider, lobby group, trade show organiser as well as equipment and consumable suppliers, please nominate under the Supplier 50 category.

The Printer 50 is a peer-voted category and nominees who meet the entrance criteria are invited to become judges and have the opportunity to judge their peers before the results are externally audited. The judging process is conducted online and involves judges ranking their Top 25 nominees against a set criteria.

External, independent auditors will then review the results. The Top 25 leaders are ranked, and the remaining 25 leaders will be announced at the ProPrint Awards alphabetically.

Emerging 50

This award recognises rising stars from all parts of print with around five years experience. This includes graphic designers, prepress operators, production assistants, post-press supervisors and finishing specialists as well as employees responsible for distribution, sales, administration and account management with approximately five years or less experience working in the industry.

Recipients of the Emerging 50 will be judged on the quality and the detail provided within their submission and the supplementary materials provided. It is possible to nominate more than one person and it is also possible to have more than one Emerging 50 nominee from the same company. Self-nominations are accepted. There is no overall winner of the Emerging 50 recipients will be acknowledged in alphabetical order at the 2025 ProPrint Awards.

Geoff Selig Scholarship

Finalists of the Emerging 50 are eligible to apply for the Geoff Selig Scholarship.

Geoff Selig was the former executive chairman of IVE Group, and at the 2023 ProPrint Awards he was recognised with the peer-voted Industry Achievement Award for service to the industry. He was the third-generation from the Selig family in the IVE Group business and was a pioneer and innovator of the industry for over 40 years.

Geoff tragically passed away in 2024 and the scholarship is dedicated to Geoff’s passion for encouraging emerging talent within the industry, and his desire to see people grow and thrive as well as the enjoyment he received from seeing people develop and succeed.

The scholarship has been created to recognise one of the recipients from the 2025 ProPrint Awards Emerging 50 and provides a financial value of up to $10,000 for personal and professional development and will be funded jointly by ProPrint and the IVE Group.

Finalists of the Emerging 50 will be notified and offered the opportunity to apply for the scholarship. The winner will be selected by ProPrint and IVE Group.

Supplier 50

This award recognises those who service and supply the industry and people committed to providing quality service and advice. They are collaborative in their work ethic to find the best solution and must have proven to have gone above and beyond to get the job done. Recipients are judged on the quality of their submissions and industry achievements over the last 12 months.

There is no overall winner of the Supplier 50 – all recipients will be acknowledged in alphabetical order at the ProPrint Awards.

Industry Achievement Award

The Industry Achievement Award honours an industry legend with more than 25 years of experience. The recipient of the Industry Achievement Award will have made a significant contribution to the industry beyond their own business.

This award can be presented to either a printer or a supplier as well as a third-party organisation working closely with the printing industry.
