Océ to show new technology

Tim Saleeba, Océ Digital Document Systems marketing manager, says a record number of Australian printers and graphic arts representatives will attend Open House next year.

“Traditionally Open House features the latest in digital printing hardware and software concepts, real-life printing and business case studies, and applications to help extend business,” he said.

“As an educational opportunity for the graphics industry, interested in catching up on all that’s new in digital software and hardware, Open House is unparalleled.”

Among the highlights of the Open House 2004, is the unveiling of a new Océ digital continuous feed colour press described by the company as fundamentally new technology that will “redefine the cost structure and performance possibilities of high speed printing.”

Visitors to Open House will also see key advances in Oc’s cut-sheet colour equipment, complementing the company’s Océ CPS700 digital cut-sheet printing system, which was released 18 months ago.

Océ Open House, now in its 11th year is expected to draw an invited guest list of nearly 4000 graphics professionals from more than 70 countries.

The event is held in a 6,000 square metre area at Poing, approximately 20 kms from Munich. It will be staged from February 16 to February 19, 2004.

Saleeba says that major priorities for today’s commercial printers are improving their competitiveness, reducing turnaround times, raising print volumes, increasing profits and delivering the best quality.
