The PIAA board has selected a new CEO to lead the association into the future and is expected to make an announcement later today. PIAA acting president Kieran May confirmed to Australian Printer the decision as to who would take the association’s top job has been reached.
Decided: The PIAA’s new CEO
May says they are currently sorting through the final paperwork with the successful candidate and will release further details, including the new CEO’s identity, when this is completed. He told Australian Printer, “A decision has been made but we are just addressing a few things and we will be able to give more details this afternoon.” The recruitment process began when former CEO Jason Allen announced his resignation at the end of the year, although the PIAA held off the search while it focused on revamping its board, which now includes new directors Walter Kuhn, Kellie Northwood, John Scott and Matt Aitken. Australian Printer understands the decision on the successful candidate needed to be made unanimously by the board, with May stating the board was ‘moved quickly to reach a conclusion’. Former CEO Bill Healey is currently serving as interim CEO until a new chief executive is appointed.
