The Visual Media Association (VMA) has introduced the Sustainable Green Print + Sign (SGP+S) – a new, industry-specific environmental certification designed to set a higher standard for sustainability within the print and signage sector.
According to the VMA, SGP+S offers real-time reporting, spot-auditing, and a transparent, credible ESG framework. It provides a scalable and verifiable system to reduce waste, meet compliance requirements, support net-zero targets, and align with sovereign supply chain goals for a reduced carbon footprint.
SGP+S is the only certification in the industry aligned with both ISO14001:2015 and forest stewardship standards. The program is independently verified by SGS Australia, whose audit confirmed that SGP+S adheres to environmental best practices and regulatory standards, and supports progression toward full ISO14001 certification.
“The VMA is actively engaging all levels of government to integrate SGP+S into their procurement, estimating, and tendering processes,” the association said.
“By prioritising products manufactured in Australia under the highest environmental standards, we are fostering continuous innovation and sustainability in our local industry.”
