Web offset printers invited to Wales

This new 2007 seminar run by the world's
pre-eminent web offset association, focuses on the most important topics
involved in the optimisation of total web offset production. It will feature
well known industry speakers from the UK, Germany, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada and the USA.

It is open to senior executives, managers and
supervision staff working in the web offset printing sector – both commercial
heatset and newspaper web offset, who require latest knowledge and 'best
practice'.

The WOCG seminar 'Optimising Total Web Offset Production' includes sessions on:

  • Paper Handling Pre- and
Post-Press – including paper selection and handling, avoiding web breaks plus
    bindery considerations
  • Productivity Maintenance
& Environment – a systems approach including environmental considerations, energy
efficiency, blanket technology, productivity maintenance and condition
    monitoring
  • Total Process Colour Control – including
colour basics, colour management standards and profiles, plus a systematic
approach to applying best practices to web offset production

The reputation of the Web Offset Champion Group
is well established through delivering market leading best practice guides and
knowledge transfer within the web offset printing sector.

This new seminar is no exception as it launches
the new WOCG 'Best Practice Guide number 7' focusing on Total Process Colour
Control, plus it offers leading industry speakers including Manfred Werfel of
Ifra and Thomas Schonbucher of Eurografica. The programme is based on similar
WOCG seminars held in Sweden and Japan.

Attendance benefits include an intensive
overview of the latest 'best practice' knowledge across the entire web offset
production process and access to some of the world's leading technologists and
scientists in the web offset printing segment.
