The same survey also cited 68% of respondents as saying that high-end digital printing devices deliver an output quality comparable to offset printing, and 85% of respondents agreeing that digital devices offer an advantage over offset printers with quicker turn-around times.

Survey respondents included printers currently using only offset technology, those using only digital technology, and those using both.

“A lot of our research shows not just growing market acceptance of digital printing, but excitement about the collaboration between technology companies, the continually emerging workflow innovations and the new revenue streams that they can lead to,” said Canon Australia’s production printing systems group manager, Steven Brown.
