The weekend event was held at the Newport Mirage on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, with a positive showing at both the daytime business workshop and the 75th anniversary dinner.

Companies represented included the likes of Lindsay Yates Group, Southern Colour (NSW), Photo Create, Bottcher, BJ Ball, Ferag and KW Doggett.

JPE president Steven Gamble told past and present members he was going to do his best to bring the association “back to its former strength”.

He unveiled plans for JPE to spread its reach into other related industries to increase networking opportunities for members.

At its gala dinner, JPE awarded the annual Laurie Malouf Award to All Mounting and Diecutting Services owner Shawn Ballesty, while Dobson Printing production manager Matt Dobson scored the Sleeping Tiger Award.

Past presidents of the association turned out in force and donated generously following a moving speech from the guest speaker Christine Bullivant from Father Chris Riley’s ‘Youth Off The Streets’ charity.

At the business workshop presented by ‘The Frank Group’, attendees were given valuable training on self-branding and relationship building through various career-training exercises.
