New printer and server for the DocuColor family

The new device prints at its maximum speed of 52 pages per minute in full colour or black and white and delivers 600x600dpi resolution with eight-bit depth. It can handle a wide variety of paper stocks up to 280gsm, including coated and uncoated stocks, as well as transparencies. Built from FXA’s DocuColor 2000 series foundation, it is aimed at small to medium commercial printers, quick printers and in-plant operations.

According to Chad Pearce, FXA production colour marketing manager, the DocuColor 5252 is positioned as an affordable, yet high-quality entry-level solution for the digital printing marketplace.

“The DocuColor 5252 is the type of solution that will grow with a business. It gives customers the opportunity to get their foot in the door with variable information applications like customised brochures, while also enabling them to pursue a whole range of other short-run applications like reports, newsletters and presentations,” says Pearce.

“The DocuColor 5252 is centred around giving our customers increased flexibility, while also heightening their productivity to new levels.”

To coincide with the launch of the DocuColor 5252, FXA has also made available the new DocuSP 6000 colour server for the DocuColor 6060 and new DocuColor 5252 digital colour press.

FXA says the DocuSP 6000 is Pantone licensed with the DocuColor 6060 and offers a range of advanced colour features that make it a perfect-fit solution for customers looking to migrate to colour or add to their existing colour capabilities.

It has been designed to offer the reliability necessary for serious production environments and widens the scale of applications that customers can produce, ranging from hundreds of small jobs to a variable information job with thousands of records.

In addition, FXA says the DocuSP 6000 delivers advantages to both existing Xerox DocuSP customers and new customers alike. Customers with existing DocuSP digital front ends will benefit from reducing their training requirements and cost of change, whilst customers new to the DocuSP platform will benefit from the DocuSP 6000’s user-friendly interface. It also supports Xerox FreeFlow.
